B Des Eligibility Criteria 
Students in order to enroll themselves for a BDes courses, they should follow the eligibility criteria as discussed below,

Passing Class 12 in any stream: You are eligible to take admission to a BDes course if you have graduated high school from a recognized educational board, through direct admission to colleges, or through various entrances and counselling afterward.
Diploma in Design: You can pursue BDes if you have completed your diploma course in design recognized by AICTE. The candidates in this case must have passed the entrance examination.

BDes Admission 2024
The BDes admissions are mainly done through the entrance examination. The admission process through the entrance exam has been explained below

BDes Admission is done through entrance examinations like AIEED, SEED, DAT, etc in various government and private universities across India. 
The candidates are required to visit the website of the entrance examination boards and register themselves. 
After registering, they are required to fill up the application form and upload the various documents in the required format.
The candidates are required to pay their application fee and take out a receipt of the application form.
The candidates are required to download their admit card and appear for the entrance exam. 
Apart from BDes entrance exams, rounds like Personal Interview and Portfolio Presentation are some of the important BDes admission requirements. 
Minimum age limit is 20 years and 23 years for BDes admission in institutions like NID and NIFT respectively.
The admission process for BDes course starts usually from the month of October and lasts till January or latest till June.

How to get admission in good BDes colleges ?
Following are some of the points to help you get into a good BDes college:

Candidates need to score a good percentage in their higher secondary level from a recognized college.
It is advisable that aspiring candidates can keep a work/design portfolio ready at the time of admission into a good college.
Students can secure a place in a good college if they have scored high marks in any of the entrance exams.The number of seats for BDes students in government colleges is less, therefore higher the scores, the better are the chances of admission in elite institutes like NIFT, NID, IIT-IDC, MITID, etc.
B Des Entrance Exam Syllabus 

Points to keep in mind while preparing for BDes Entrance Examination:

BDes entrance exams are not very tough but it can be lengthy as it contains subjective questions also, apart from objective questions. Therefore, students should know how to devote time equally while answering questions.
Students should read newspapers, informative materials, etc. to increase their general knowledge and awareness.
Students should prepare while practicing last year’s question papers and model test papers. Patterns of the exam should be well known to the students appearing for the exam so that they don’t get confused during the exam. 
Students should have good preparatory material with themselves. Always study from the latest updated books.

BDes in USA 
Candidates who want to study in USA should keep the following things in mind before applying to the BDes Colleges in USA

The duration of most of the courses may vary from 3-4 years. In most of the cases the duration of the course is for a period of 4 years. 
The candidates need to pass their 12th or equivalent examinations from a recognised university or board. The candidates must score at least 65-70 % in their 12th. In some cases the score can go up to 90%.
The candidates must have english, Mathematics as their compulsory subjects in case of admission to some of the courses. 
The candidates must pass their english proficiency test such as IELTS or TOEFL. In case of IELTS the candidates must score 7 and incase of TOEFL the score should be between 80-110.
BDes in UK 
Candidates who want to study in the UK should keep the following things in mind before applying to the BDes Colleges in the UK.

The courses that are offered in the UK are generally of the duration of 3 years.
The candidates must pass their 12th or equivalent examination from a recognised university or board. 
The Minimum marks scored must be at least 60-65%.
